Big News & My Comeback and Tablescape, too!

This old girl, JP, is making a comeback!!!
I'll be sharing my home decor and inspirational accents, again and starting a brand new venture in creating and sharing more beautiful tablescape designs.

I, finally, have a reason to blog again...aside from the love of sharing my inspirations, I will be earning an income by sharing occasional posts promoting a major retail company.
No doubt, the sharing decor ideas will keep on rolling with peeks at more room and vignette photos.

Just a little bit about why I've been away from blogging for so long. My hubby and I decided that we were ready to move south to warmer waters and did so 7 1/2 years ago. With that came my love of the ocean, an addiction to hunting for shells and feeling the heat of the sun on my body. The time spent blogging with no financial reward was too much work for me. I did it all, and if you blog you know what that means! I never did get outside help to promote myself and be able to work less, hence my walking away from this creative outlet.

Some pics of a recent tablescape for fall and my honey's birthday earlier this month.

The fall jug, with a little tweaking, as it sits on our table, now.

I'll be trying to get back into the swing of things, even just getting re-aquainted with my blog and the layout and everything that goes with it is a bit of a challenge. If you are a blogger and have any tips to pass along to me regarding not having to "do it all," please, send me a tip.

Until next week, I'll be fumbling along and having fun going through my pile of inspirations for my next fall tablescape to share with you!

This is how I get started to roll...a bunch of stuff and ya never know!

Real life inspirational chaos!

Maybe's?

Til Next Time...

Front Door, Frye Boots and Fall in the Hall

Honey said he was tired of almost getting hit in the head with the basket that I had hanging on the door for spring, summer and early fall. So, I grabbed this one from storage and hung it on the door.

It has those beautiful, fall colors that I really love.

I made it for over our mantel in 2013

This owl was on the door before...it seemed appropo for it to stay.

Now, this is the little baby.

Here's a peek at the foyer inside....my old Frye boots are temporary props, until I want to wear them!

This is the end of my posts for fall. I'm pulling out my Christmas boxes later on today!

Just a reminder....don't forget to turn back your clock!

Mailbox Makeover for Fall

Seasonal decorating at our house always means that our mailbox is gonna get a new look. The way I look at it is, if you want attention, start at the curb!

So, with a mix of white mums, fall leaves and white pumpkins a draping was made.

And then out of  hiding, in a closet, a little corn husk owl was found.

So, I attached him to the door with some good ol' duct tape.
I think that he added a really cute touch.

Just a random close up of our lamp post and house marker :)

For more ideas you can check out my past mailbox do's...just type mailbox in my search bar and you'll find them!

Hoping this post might give you some ideas to do some mailbox decorating of your own....let me know if you do!

Time for Fall in Our Bay Window

I changed our bay window in mid September and decided to go with an all white theme again this year.

It's a simple, white, farmer's market theme.

In the past I've always gone with the traditional autumn tones that just scream northern fall to me.

This was one of my favorite pumpkin displays from 2012!
I got to use my burlap grain sack with my white washed bushel basket.

The country store scale would look great weighing just pumpkins...

but I needed a place to keep some fresh basil.

My pics don't always turn out so great...it's either to bright or too gloomy for a perfect shot. Regardless, you get the picture, this crate full of white pumpkins still looks great.

If you follow my blog then you probably already know the secret behind my farmer's market sign. If your new or missed that post you can find out here!

Fall, white, farmer's market theme in full view...tada!

October 6th brought some subtle changes like these chalkboard tags that I hung on the scale...

to weigh a trio of pumpkins.

The trio that was here is now just a pair.

The checker board fabric scrap looks perfect with our stool!

New Fall Window Dressing & Fresh Wall Color

I really liked our fall window dressing that we've had since early September, but I was getting tired of looking at it for so long.
It was time for a new look.

And since I never tire of using ladders in room decor I decided to remove the one from over our mantel and use it here. I'm glad to have my blog to have pics to reflect back on and see  the many ways I've staged them. You can use my search bar to see them if you wish!

This time it's an herb drying/display rack and handy place to keep necessities for trimming and watering.

Rustic, chippy ladder love!

A keepsake magnet tugs at my heart.

The rusty, vintage scale stayed with a little change and hangs off to the right this time around.

I  changed the valances from the Battenburg ones and hung country, striped kitchen towels over the rod for more of a countrified look.

This is the new wall color. My honey and I painted it in 2 1/2 hours this weekend!

The old yellow paint was here when we moved in. I'm glad that we finally changed it!

It's much more subtle and photographs well.

I chose a color that co-ordinated with the color of the tile's grout.

This was a little project that I made last year.....you can find it here.

In a few more weeks this will be filled with Christmas decor....I'm dreaming up it's theme right now!

Hope you'll be watching for the new window-do.....I'm just not one that will make the changes until after Thanksgiving has passed!
