That "Time" of Year Again!

That "time" of year is almost here again"...Time to set our clocks back and deal with darkness setting in on us earlier than we all care for.

It's the time of year that makes me a bit depressed to lose the beautiful light of day. I'm sure you can relate!

It just so happened that upon creating one last fall tablescape (before I begin my Christmas decorating) I spied my precious clock and decided to add it to the centerpiece.

After we made our wooden riser I suddenly envisioned having co-ordinating placemats.

My vision turned out just the way they were in my mind. Large enough to be the base to hold layers of eyecatching lovlieness!

The unique placement of the napkin was one of those things ths kind of just happened. It gave another dimension to the place setting, don't you agree?

This is the wood I bought and had my honey cut into 3 pieces to make asuper chunky riser. He was able to screw them all securely together.

I then gave it a coat of American Walnut stain and applied, very randomly, some dark coffee antique medium to make it an even deeper tone.

I really did love the way the color came out and will make another one, soon. White was my first choice, so I had to continue on with the next step.

I applied my white chalk paint sparingly to allow some of the base color to show through.

It helped to give it a distressed look.

I had to wait a week or so for the feet to arrive.

They finished off the look perfectly and there's one thing I know for sure, these new pieces are definitely gonna be getting a lot of use  in our house....stay tuned for their Christmas looks real soon!

A Fabulous Fall Tablescape with Fabulous Layered Linens

 Can we talk about "Fabulous?"

I had so much fun creating this beautiful tablescape. The amazing linens, in this tablescape, was all new to me and I'm, over the moon, ecstatic that Premier Table Linens has reached out to me to work with them promoting their line. Without a doubt, they carry the ultimate in quality and the most vast selection of table coverings and accessories on the market.

Check out their website for everything you need for your next intimate gathering or large special event.

I, now, present to you a peek at my fabulous fall tablescape...tada!

I, always, start out with piles of things that I think I might want to use and they're usually all plopped on a chair and on the table itself...it gets my creative juices flowing.
Not all of  my inspiring choices always get used!

They sent me a wonderful collection of things to choose from for creating a visual setting.

but, some things will just have to wait.

That off white runner, draped over the chair, is a definate choice to be featured next time!

Now, trust me when I say that a tablescape, like this, can take many hours of tweaking and finalizing as many of you already well know.
Thankfully, my vision ended up even better than I'd planned!

I chose to go with traditional fall colors because sometimes I need a full blown "color fix!"
Look at this, gorgeous, orange, Havana tablecloth available in 26 colors.

Layering linens, placemats and dishes is one thing I love to do for really special occassions.

Garden herbs are a wonderful thing to have on hand for accenting a napkin or place setting.

Their, logo printed, jute burlap runner can add an additional attraction to your table from their Premier Burlap Boutique. Personalization is available with your phrase, monogram or design.
I'd love to have 2 runners, like this, on our round table to create a cross over pattern. Next time, my wish has already been granted....it's in the mail!

Oh, and then there are these curtains!!!
Can I say,  "FABULOUS FAUX BURLAP?"
Yes, absofigginlutely!!!
Scratchy burlap they are not....soft and heavy and gorgeous, they are, all while giving a really appealing farmhouse look.

And lastly, I present to you....a beautiful, evening, presentation.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my comeback post and presentation of Premier Table Linens and the one of many styles of tablescapes that I love to do.
Please, share my post to help me get back into the swing of things again....it's been a long time, but I hope you'll welcome me back!

Big News & My Comeback and Tablescape, too!

This old girl, JP, is making a comeback!!!
I'll be sharing my home decor and inspirational accents, again and starting a brand new venture in creating and sharing more beautiful tablescape designs.

I, finally, have a reason to blog again...aside from the love of sharing my inspirations, I will be earning an income by sharing occasional posts promoting a major retail company.
No doubt, the sharing decor ideas will keep on rolling with peeks at more room and vignette photos.

Just a little bit about why I've been away from blogging for so long. My hubby and I decided that we were ready to move south to warmer waters and did so 7 1/2 years ago. With that came my love of the ocean, an addiction to hunting for shells and feeling the heat of the sun on my body. The time spent blogging with no financial reward was too much work for me. I did it all, and if you blog you know what that means! I never did get outside help to promote myself and be able to work less, hence my walking away from this creative outlet.

Some pics of a recent tablescape for fall and my honey's birthday earlier this month.

The fall jug, with a little tweaking, as it sits on our table, now.

I'll be trying to get back into the swing of things, even just getting re-aquainted with my blog and the layout and everything that goes with it is a bit of a challenge. If you are a blogger and have any tips to pass along to me regarding not having to "do it all," please, send me a tip.

Until next week, I'll be fumbling along and having fun going through my pile of inspirations for my next fall tablescape to share with you!

This is how I get started to roll...a bunch of stuff and ya never know!

Real life inspirational chaos!

Maybe's?

Checks in Black & White and a Fall Tablescape

This new love of mine is slowly making it's way into our kitchen. It recently made a beautiful show for this fall tablescape.
It's black and white check with an added pop of apple green.

I found these great, vintage style, black chargers on Amazon for less just $3.49 each....you can find them here.

I love the look of layers...doubling up on napkins added more interest to the setting.

Dollar store stemware in green compliment the table display.

Vintage, etched, water goblets are always so pretty.

Place setting names on chalkboard tags sit inside black fruit cups with a lining of green moss. Herringbone ribbon is the new accent on the rim of our handy lazy susan.

The ribbon from the lazy susan is now added to the valance above the bay window, too.

This is our everyday centerpiece for now.

Miniature faux pears and grapes look good enough to eat!

The string of beads was copied from last year's living room decor.
The post that they came from is here

It was getting close to sundown, hence the darkness here.

Dinner for my honey and me was another memorable night!

A shot of the bay window display that was done back in early September.

I made the pie for my honey's birthday...I still need to create and share the bay window post!
