My New Shop Space is Looking Purty!

I can't believe that it's been so long since my last official post...moving really does cause a bit of a set back and I feel so out of the "loop!"
But, we're all set up, now and comfy here in our sweet, little home. My daughter, Shaine, and her twins just left to go back home to N.Y. and my oldest daughter, Tanya, moved down the day after. We had the best of times at the beach and touring around our new "southern digs"....even got to watch them film, again in Southport, an episode from "Under the Dome" on CBS. It looks like a great, new series!

So, the "tours" are done, for a while at least, and I am now focusing on filling up my new, teenie little, shop space with lots of vintage and upscaled goodies at

Now, come on in and take a "little" tour!

A prop door from home and all glammed up....it looks like it's there to stay!

This was my pile of inspirations!

White burlap and white painted, chicken wire were added to create a display showcase.

And a "shabby glam" burlap, swagged bow.

Here are some of my offerings, like this vintage demijohn, with lots of "shabby glam" accents.

A "shabby lining" inside the box with a copy of my "Pocket of Love"
Pretty cottage rose plates.
Mirrors with more glam.
and some with  glitz.
More vintage, upscaled and adorned treasures to find!
A white, bushel basket and vintage lace.
Another little creation that I just brought in.

Well, I've got lots more projects in store and then I'll have to find a spot to cram them in or rent another space!
"Miss Minnie"....I'll be waiting!!!

Until then....

Love, Hugs & Kisses,
JP

White Glam and Glitz and Some Cherished Heirlooms

Looking through my photo files these images, in whites, with some glam and glitz,
just made me want to share them with you. They are of items sold, to be sold or simply, cherished heirlooms.
Grandma's Bible.

Grandma's talc container and rhinestone necklace.

Grandmas' white, lace hanky and jewelry.

More of grandma's glitz!

Grandma's talc tin and a sampler and photo of her mother... my great, grandma Emma.

Daddy's baby shoes.

A cherished card of  "LOVE" from my Dad.

Another shot in color...hope you enjoyed my pics.

Short and sweet and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Love, Hugs and Kisses,
JP

Little White Ladder Shelf

This is not something that hasn't already be done. Ladder decor has been around in country homes for many, many years. I just wanted to post some pics of the one that I've had around for a while now. Of course I don't have a pic of it in it's natural color, but that isn't too hard to picture, now is it?

Here it is, now, after I gave it a white, dry brush, aging.

We have really high ceilings and a lot of wall space so, this spot is the perfect place to hang a shelf for some little displays.

This is how it looks in our living room.
Wish I had a panoramic setting...I like the way it flows.

And compliments our decor.

We used to have a beautiful, early 1800's, red stenciled, sled hanging in it's place...but, with our intentions to move south I decided to part with it, last year, just after Christmas. I didn't think we'd be here for another Holiday season..."waaah" I miss it, now! Oh, the photo ops it could have had!!!

Well, I'm content with the replacement and even happier that it was FREE :)

Here's a few more of my photo, practice shots from today's shoot....still can't wait for my new camera!

HATE the pic...HATE my camera...but, I do love my little "sampler." Every time I look at it I wonder how I ever did it. It's a teenie tiny, 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" in size!

A close up of my milk glass vase that I painted and distressed. I like it better, now.

My Day With Buttons, Pearls and Lace

Yesterday was the kind of a day that was filled with a little of this and a little of that...weeding, cleaning and laundry chores, with the latter part of my day playing around with some buttons, pearls, pins and lace. I had some cute little, canvas bags, and a tiny, vintage, glass bottle that I was dying to "Glam" so, this is how they turned out...

Sweet and Shabby, my version of "Shabby Glam!"

Canvas, lace and pearls, "oh my!"

The little, vintage, glass bottle looks pretty sweet with the addition of "glam"...don't you think?

Then just when I thought I was done...I spied a little, honey brown, picnic basket, sitting in a pile of "things to sell." It was screaming for some attention, too, so, out of the pile it came and with some whitewash paint and stuff from my stash of  "glam"....VOILA...a "Glamorous" basket she became!

And now, it's time to get myself into the kitchen and cook my man somethin' simple....turkey, brie and cranberry wraps with some nice battered rings on the side, I think he'll like that!

Next time maybe I'll post some "Designer Glitz!"

'Til next time....

Have a Happy Day!

JP
