My Sweet Christmas Angel

My Sweet Christmas Angel will always be so very, very special to me. She was a gift from my husband who knew that I fell in love with her when I saw her while we were out shopping one day many, many years ago.

She is my angel, my little Tanya.

Her wings are newly tipped in gold and she's wearing a glamorous, Christmas crown made from sequin roping and a large, rhinestone broach....you know, girls need glam!

A vintage broach and golden glittered ribbon wrap the column that she sits on.

A gold grapevine wreath and a sprig of Christmas berries add to the surrounding theme.

She's spent years in our gardens sitting in the beds of thyme and among the ferns and mosses.

But, most of her time has been sitting on the rocks overlooking the pond and waterfall in our garden cafe.

It was always such a special view.

I named her Tanya because when I first saw her, she reminded me so much of my Tanya when she was a little girl and looked so much like this.

Can you see why I just had to have her!

This is a peek at the tree and fireplace, this year, in white and gold with a little bit of red.

Please, do stop back to see the rest of it's decor and then there will be still so much more!

 Love, Hugs and Kisses,
JP
and Gucci, too!

Mantel Clock Re-do for this year's Holiday Mantel

 Winter Ice & Snow
that's my decorating theme for this year as many of you have seen a pattern of in my last several holiday posts.

Our brown clock got a "shabby, white, little facelift" sometime this past year. It was time for a change and the white paint fits in just about anywhere I want to put it.
It's center stage, this year, with many other special projects that complete our white, silver and ice mantel.

Here it was, in 2012, from our last Holiday in our New York home.
It was given to us, one very special Christmas, from one very special daughter....thank you, Tanya Lin xoxoxo

And then for New Year's Eve.......here

Pretty as a picture with a little bit of "ice!"

Next, I think I'll share the fluffy, sock, snow couple that I made. Since you'll soon see them sharing the white, wintery stage.
I'll share the DIY from my Pinterest inspiration and admired blogger/creator....I'm sure you'll want to make some of your own!

 Love, Hugs and Kisses,
JP

White Glam and Glitz and Some Cherished Heirlooms

Looking through my photo files these images, in whites, with some glam and glitz,
just made me want to share them with you. They are of items sold, to be sold or simply, cherished heirlooms.
Grandma's Bible.

Grandma's talc container and rhinestone necklace.

Grandmas' white, lace hanky and jewelry.

More of grandma's glitz!

Grandma's talc tin and a sampler and photo of her mother... my great, grandma Emma.

Daddy's baby shoes.

A cherished card of  "LOVE" from my Dad.

Another shot in color...hope you enjoyed my pics.

Short and sweet and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Love, Hugs and Kisses,
JP
