Hugs & Kisses in Miniature White Roses

Who doesn't love hugs and kisses? I just finished these sweet X's and O's, to hang on the wall in our hallway, for Valentine's day.

You can find wooden letters, like these, just about anywhere these days.

I painted them in an ivory for the background and hot glued on miniature, silk roses and a pair of french scripted, card stock, hearts onto each one.

They flank the wall rack vignette on both sides.

I've done several posts with the tin heart wall pocket that I made.

The tiny, heart shaped box is another little glammed up piece that I did and I always love to display old cards of Love!

The vignette is directly across from our bedroom foyer.

I think I'll move them, into our bedroom, after Valentine's day. They'll be sweet on the wall over our bed. ...after all, that's where a lot of hugging and kissing takes place! ;)

An Angelic Vignette & Memories in White with a Pop of Red

In our entrance hallway and just outside our bedroom door is this sweet, little sight of precious memories.

White, twinkle lights and a hanging candle votive illuminate the winter white vignette. It makes me sigh every time I pass it by!

Evergreens and baby's breath with burgundy berries add a striking "pop of red"

My old, country rack that used to be blue, then green and now plain white

holds memories of love and loved ones with hearts and angels wings.
Perfect lighting casts a beautiful, evening glow down the hall.

A, cherished, angelic ornament from my "Kaycie Leigh!"

I can even see it from our bed, if  I leave the hall and bedroom doors ajar....I just love it!

Remembering my great grandmother with many fond memories of her incredible talent for gorgeous needle works of all kinds. I am thankful to have been blessed with her artistic talents that she has handed down to  me and so many others in our family tree!

A Shabby Glam Rustic Heart on a White Twig Wreath

Hearts, Love and Valentine's Day Decor
a shabby glam, rustic heart of love and an update to our white, twig wreath on our front door!

So, I found this rustic heart on Etsy, last summer, and just had to have it...it wasn't a cheap score like most of my finds, but I just had to have it!!!

It started out like this....plain, teal and crusty rusty and so-o-o appealing even it it's as found state.

But, because I'm a glam and glitz kinda girl...
(can I still say girl, when I'm over 60, now?  I think so...after all..."Forever Young" is my motto)
I just had to add some glitz!

then.... a little love phrase!

Here's how to add script to your project.

Start with a copy, just the right size, for for your project....no need to flip your image for this transfer process.

rub on some chalk to the backside (any color will do)

Then tape it in place on your wood, metal or tin project. Outline and fill in the image to release the chalk onto your project. My surface was very rigid, so, I did the best that I could!

See how it then gave me a guide to paint over for a permanent copy.

After the paint was added, I sanded some off for a more time worn look.

Here's how it is all done!

 Hanging on our front door.

Then I added to our white, twig wreath. that I salvaged from our Christmas Mantel Decor.

VOILA..."True Love"
