Chickadees and a Tablescape in Black & White

I made another simple tablescape with a simplified look for the season. I used our cute little chickadees again....they're just so darn adorable. Did you see them last week when they were all over my 

Christmas tablescape? 

They're even in my corner hutch and in our Christmas tree again this year.  I'll be sharing that post, next week, and our Fireplace and mantel, too.

 This chubby chickadee pair are the parents... I made another new centerpiece for our everyday dining room table. I just switched up a few things from the way it was before.

The smell of evergeen is amazing, between the freshly cut cedar and the balsam and cedar votive, it's just so Christmasey and delightful!

Wooden cranberry beads, faux pomegranates, and a few snowy pinecones fill inside the cedar filled tobacco basket centerpiece.

 Little baby chickadees sit a top each one of the hyacyinth napkin rings. They're the perfect compliment to the black and white color scheme going on.

The wooden riser that we made is my favorite addition to our table....it's replaced our huge lazy susan for a while. 

This will be our everyday look until I get around to sharing another tablescape with you. I have a really gorgeous, winter white, formal one planned!

A Buffalo Check Christmas Tablescape & Centerpiece with Chickadees

Christmas is amost upon us in just a few short weeks and because I love to give you ideas to incorporate into your own home, I created this tablescape in red with accents of the ever popular black and white buffalo check. 

For this one I used two round tablecovers, layered and gathered, with a scarlet red satin bow, between each place setting.  

Here, I photoshopped a sprig of holly to the ribbon, which is something you may like to add to yours. I chose to keep it more simple since there was already a lot going on with sprigs of berries on the table.

Buffalo check napkins placed underneath black chargers with red, poinsettia toile, dinner plates create quite an impact over the red faux burlap tablecloth. White battenburg napkins are simply tied with white satin ribbon and accented with white berry picks placed to the side of each plate.

Rolling up the top tablecloth and securing it with an accent of your choice is something that's so easy to do!

Buffalo check napkins, placed on a diagonal, add an additional visual impact as place mats, underneath the black chargers.

How cute are my little chickadees as accents for the theme around the table? A sprinkling of epsom salts beneath the lanterns on the saucers added a snowy base just for sparkley fun!

The chickadees were from last year's Christmas tree and have managed take flight and perch in our snowy white tree again this year.

Here are a few sneak peeks!

Naturally, another larger Christmas lantern had to be the center of attention at the table. Sprigs of winter greens, deep red pomegranates with ornaments of pearl surround the lantern. Wooden beads of cranberries, candy canes and a pair of icy chickadees that flank each side, so sweetly.

The precious, icy, chickadees came from Hobby Lobby in 2019.

Red White and Candy Cane Stripes...A Christmas Eve Dress Rehearsal

I'm sharing my "dress rehearsal" of our Christmas Eve tablescape as I like to take my pics and write my blog posts ahead of time to share with you all.

And, as JP always does she manages to find one last little thing to add to her set up after all pics have been done...re: the candy cane touch!

Sadly to say the little candy cane never did make it into my original photo shoot and it would have added the perfect touch. :(

But, "oh well" here we go... on with the show!

I love the messages on our plates.

My year 'round sentiment, perfectly stated.

A, freshly picked, holly sprig added to the place setting card complimented the plates with perfection.

A little chickadee,  atop a mini Christmas tree, co-ordinates with the theme of our mantel and living room tree.

A sweet vintage silver dinner bell is waiting to be rung.

The chandelier has simple touches of fresh yew greens and some grain sack ribbon in red and white. It looks so pretty even at night!

The candlelight centerpiece staged festively aglow.

Gucci, my side kick, watches me intensely almost all the time. 😊

A Christmas Dinner

Sharing a quick Christmas time tablescape tonight.

Red, white and black were the main colors in this tablescape for our get together here.

I always try to add a little something to the chairs.

 Pfaltzgraff and Pioneer Woman plates are layered over a square, woven place mat in a perfect berry red.

Christmas holly napkins are placed in each glass and in the basket of bread.

Did you miss seeing our bay window this year? That post is here!

A snip of rosemary adds a simple touch of green to the flatware service.

It was just dark enough to appreciate the Christmas candlescape.

I shared the centerpiece that I made by painting a vintage punch bowl filled with epsom salts for snow.

A blown glass dinner bell covers a battery operated tea light.

It looks awesome lit!

Ahh! Christmas time is my favorite time of year...I just wish that all of our family could be here!
