You might know that a few weeks ago I found an incredible set of Sheraton dishes that I purchased to sell. But, I just couldn't bear to see them go without having used them at least one time!
So, I planned a tablescape for a beautiful brunch and eyed my Italian, tole charger that was hanging on the wall.
Well, then came this one, major "problemo".....to be able to set a table for four, but, "oh no"
I would need three more!

I would need three more!
This was the look that I was dying to achieve.
So, with no time to hunt another one down I'd just have to FAKE them!
So, into my copier my charger then went. Oops, another "problemo".....it was too big for my copy machine. Well, then two copies, on cardstock, just had to be made. I cut each one in 1/2 and then taped them together and VOILA.....I did it.
Not bad for a FAKE!

This is how it looked.
A delicious blend of amethyst, white and gold set the tone for my brunch.
This is how it looked, with the centerpiece, before brunch was served. That post is here.
A few brass touches to compliment the gold.
Including my sweet, wire, brass basket to hold the croissants.
This, sweet little, ironstone tureen holds some home made jam.
With an acorn, hot glued, to accent it's top.
My grandmother's, silver plate, "turned" handled, knife served butter on this ironstone dish.
And sugar and cream in her etched crystal servers.
Heirloom flatware, in silver plate....
on a napkin with pearls and a fall pick....a sight to behold!
Even last minute details were added to the chairs.
A few views from all sides of the room.
Not a bad kitchen for a rental...we love it!
Now, tell me....did you like my idea for faking a tray?
Did you know that I FAKED it with my brown, transferware dishes once before?
That post with those dishes is here.
And my Sheraton dishes are in this post, too.

Yep you really faked me out!!! What a wonder idea! Maybe you just opened a can of worms for the tablescapers out there. Imagine going on a fabulous retail site and copying the expensive plates they offer. Oh, this can be awesome don't you think?
So Lovely!! And I love your "fake" chargers. What a brilliant idea!
Thank you for stopping by,
Mary Alice
What a great concept Janet. You faked me out! You are sharing your secrets....LOL

I love how you did the chargers and would never have known they were fake...such a clever idea, don't you just love it when you can make something from nothing, such a fun project...thanks for showing us your super idea...Phyllis
I've gone back and forth, and I still can't believe it! How did you curve the edges? Amazing! I'll have to see if I can Fake some, too!
Hugs,
Patti
Very creative, Janet! Your table is lovely. Thanks for joining the Open House party.
xx,
Sherry
How clever, I love it! I know the problem of not having enough chargers. Your plates remind me of my Staffordshire Bouquet plates. They are very beautiful.
Janet, your tablescape is lovely. I'm loving the dish pattern, too. LOL@myself, I always thought the lovely Italian plates, like that were for shelves or hanging on the wall. I'm thinking yeah, they are chargers and beautiful for a place setting.
Thanks for sharing this info I needed!
Helen
I love the fake thing, anyway.
Love everything on the top of your table and you are, indeed, a Sweet inspiration.

Hi JP,
So nice to meet you! Your plate chargers may be fake, but your talent and creativity are, most definitely, REAL! Love the pretty colours and pattern of your dinner ware and the entire place setting!

Well aren't you the clever one with the chargers. I love your table. Love the burlap on the chairs too. Looks so pretty!
Absolutely Clever of you! I LOVE your dinnerware as well. It all looks so beautiful and no one would ever know it is faked unless you told them!
Be Blessed,
Lorena
Very clever, Janet! I had no idea it was a fake; it is so hard to tell from the pictures. Love that little tureen!
Beautifully done, Janet - such a gorgeous tablescape! Loved it!

Gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing on The Creative Home & Garden Hop! I can't wait to see what you share today :)
JP~ The only thing missing from your beautiful brunch is...me! I'd love to be a guest at any of your elegantly set tables. I can only assume that you cook as well as you decorate, so anyone who bellies up to your table is blessed indeed! I love your style and flair for the dramatic, yet sweet touches... like royalty meets home sweet home. Great job!
