Joy on Our Door for Christmas

This was a fun project that I wanted to put together last year and ran out of time. I am so happy that I got it done this year!

I used three different vintage frames for each letter in joy.
It's now on the door in our kitchen that goes into to our living room. The door always stays opened and is closed only for this pic.

The "J" is a stencil, glittered in gold, with a white burlap background.

"O"  is a wooden initial that is wrapped with a thick, glittered gold, ribbon. I printed out a music sheet for the background. Why didn't I think to go with "Joy to the World" instead??? Duh!

You can stencil directly on the glass in case you want to put something else in the frame at another time.

Oh, it must have been about the bells....the "Jingle Bells" that I added for a pop of accent color....double duh!

I picked up this clever way to hang anything from a door, somewhere recently. I wish I could remember, so that I could give credit where credit its due.
Inverted command hooks...genius!!! I used two for added strength since the weight of this is a bit heavy and I do not want it to fall.

I joined all three with white and gold wired ribbon, made a great big bow and secured it heavily with hot glue.  Now, this is the way the door looks when it is open. I really love it's impact!
I'm so excited to show you more and hope to get it all in before Christmas. It's just a lot of work for l'il ole me to shoot pics, edit, write posts and then share it to, hopefully, catch your eye!
I can't wait.....it's a beautiful year!
