We have a lot of cabinets and drawers in our kitchen...53 to be exact! I thought that it would be fun to break them up and add a handy chalkboard to one of the cabinet doors. But, since we live in a rental, painting one of the was not an option. So, I came up with the idea to add an insert on top of one of the panels that could be removed without any damage if the time ever comes that we should move.
I started with by cutting a black foam board to the size of one.

After coating it with a chalkboard paint I used these removable, Command stick ons. They have velcro to adhere to anything that you would like to hang without having hooks on the back. Some things just need to hang flat.
***tip***you'll need to paint the backside, with any plain paint, to keep the board from warping...this way it will end up nice and flat

The chalk hangs, conveniently, over one of the door hinges with some jute.
I created the "DON'T FORGET" in Pic Monkey, printed it out and used a double stick tape to attach it. My writing just never comes out the way that I would like it to!
I love it!
I hope that it inspires you to try this if you live in a rental or just are afraid to paint one of your own cabinet doors and will "pin it" for me :)
