I've got spring going on around the house. I shared my creation for our front door a few days ago. If you missed it...it's here!
Today, I'll show you my spring nest centerpiece that I made for our dining table.
The little birds are actually our very first ornament from our first Christmas together!
This shabby pillar is what I used to give the basket nest some height.
A painted terracotta saucer, with strands of pearls, worked out just right to hold the nest.
I painted the natural colored basket and then wet distressed it by removing paint here and there with a wet paper towel. It gave it the nice, shabby look that I like.
A blurred view and sneak peek at our bay window dressed for Easter this year.
I'm so happy that spring is almost officially here!
Honestly, I can't stop walking by it...it so darn "tweet!"!
I'll be working on our bay window post, it's got a really fun spring branch that's hanging in it. Do keep watch for it's reveal!
Love, Hugs and Kisses,

and Gucci, too!
Can you see him? He's playing "peek-a-boo!

That is so sweet, Janet! I love that it does not take up a lot of room, too. I need to keep décor on our dining table simple because I like to be able to just sweep it off to the side for when we are eating there.
Have to say those are the cutest lil
birdies, and they must be loving
their cute lil nest to match.
Think this is my first time to visit
with you, so nice to meet you here
in blogland.
Blessings, Nellie
Janet, what a sweet little nest and those birdies are adorable.
Oh my that is the sweet little nest, especially since it holds such a treasure pair! No wonder it makes you smile. Adorable!
Hugs,
Patti
what a lovely centerpiece, JP. I pinned it to my Spring board also. Best wishes for Spring _ this week is so much warmer in Connecticut 40's and 50's. YAY.
This is so sweet! I have a nest and eggs as my centerpiece too! I am visiting from What to do Weekends today.
Your centerpiece is absolutely darling!!! Love the addition of pearls and that sweet little basket holding the nest.
