The need to start some packing and a wee bit of spring fever resulted in
Our Mantel's Last Hurrah!
Our Mantel's Last Hurrah!
Yes, that's right...a long distant move is on our horizon. I don't know how this, tremendously painful, move will go. We will be leaving our very special home and cherished offspring behind to a temporary place to call home. What to sell...what to take and how to NOT say, "Goodbye"...please, give me strength to persevere!
Thankfully, I have my new camera to make sure that we will have the best pics, we possibly can, of our home and those we are leaving behind :(

Our fireplace was one of the many favorite features that stood out in our, formerly abandoned, house. The fireplace, once grey and charred from years of use, immediately got a fresh, white coat of fire retardant paint.
It is now our white beauty!
A mix of rustic collections with romantic pearls and lace are having their last show and will remain until we leave.

A favorite plaque takes center stage, with chippy shutters as a backdrop...
and other country favorites set off to the right...
A pearl collar necklace adds romance to a tiny white creamer filled with delicate baby's breath...
My new, little mirror (click the link to see more) and precious locket add a golden touch!
a shabby, white basket holds heirloom lace, rustic strings and grandma's, very old pin....
and lace hearts on a pearl strand hangs off to the right.
Baby's breath in my little, copper, watering can and the loves of my life sit beside.
Always & Forever my babies they'll be!!!!
My posting will be slowing down, now...there's just so-o-o much that I have to do. I'll keep you posted on our progress and share some little projects, here and there, when I can.
'til next time......
Love, Hugs and Kisses

It looks absolutely gorgeous - love love love how you've styled it!!!
this is all so beautiful. I do hope the move will go well.x
Your mantle looks so great--love those chippy shutters!
I know it is hard to leave a house you love, Janet. That's what we did when we moved from Long Island to Ohio back in September, 2011. We knew we had to downsize and were in the process of selling our home when the opportunity came for my husband {through his job} to move to Ohio. Chin up, my friend!
I might have missed it, but did you tell us just how many hearts are around your fireplace? : )
Your mantle looks darling! Good luck on your move!
Hugs,
Bella
JP,
You are entered in my Giveaway and I am now following you too!
Your mantle is lovely!! So sorry that you will have to move and leave your beloved home and family behind.
Hugs,
Deb
Beautiful. I love all of your added elements. It's looks so romantic. Good luck with the move. Try not to get stressed.
Such a romantic setting! Thanks for joining Country Whites Weekend and inspiring others! Hope your move goes well.
Blessings from the Farmhouse,
Dru
Your mantel is so pretty. It's hard to leave a home, especially when you are leaving behind family. Best wishes with your move.
Featuring this tonight - so pretty!

I wish you the very, very best as you start the moving process. We did it a couple of years ago (although we ended up right back here!), and it had its good and bad moments. Never a "dull" moment, that's for sure!!! :-) Good luck!
Janet I'm so glad you joined me for my party this week. I have to admire your lovely fireplace...especially the pearls and lace, but it all looks magnificent together. You did a lovely job!! That little shutter duo is adorable!!
I hope your move is easy for you and that all the things that can make for an easy way are yours. I know that you will make a HOME out of any place your live, however long or short the time you stay.
Blessings to you,
Doni
JP everything is just beautiful! I love the little shutters and just about everything else! I really feel your pain on having to move. Bummer. Lot's of work. Hope everything goes smoothly and thanks for linking up this week at Transformed Tuesday.
Hugs,
