Boring Planters with Some Rustic Glam

Our old, deteriorating, hanging planters were in bad shape and in need of replacement. But, trying to save and not spend is on top of my list these days. I'm sure many of you can relate! So, since I had to do something before they burst, burlap was my choice.
I've been slowly adding it into our living room decor and since I had some extra on hand I decided on a quick, no sew, fix!

This is how they were before...yuck :(

Here they are lined with plastic, a simply cut square of burlap, tied with roping and finished with a rhinestone pin....gotta have my touch of glam!
Someday I'll figure out how to take good pics in low light or when the sun is in full force!

Of course I had to add a l'il somethin' special to the one in the middle, too.

Burlap just looks so good in our living room hence my no sew ottoman cover and pillow!

And added to a little, white book!
Not a super special makeover but, they're good enough for me!

Love, Hugs and Kisses
JP

LOVE your idea to put to dress up the old pots. Great idea and the touch of glam with the pins is so unexpected. It looks like one of your plants is a Christmas cactus. Is yours blooming yet? Mine has gone crazy and got buds before Halloween and is blooming now.

Love the pillow and the planters. Burlap looks terrific with the bling. Kind of yin and yang.

Hi JP. I see you are a no reply comment so to let you know where I got the Modern Master's crackle, it was at a specialty paint store, but I believe Lowe's or Home Depot carry the products too. Check on the web for Modern Master's retailers in your area.
