This was our very last Holiday celebration, in our home, here in New York....it was a bittersweet celebration with lots of love and this was
Our Easter Grande Finale!
Our Easter Grande Finale!
A, shabby chic, cottage quilt with it's floral design was the inspiration for the pastel, spring like, theme...spring green, damask napkins layered as place mats. They were found at a nearby general store...$2 for eight and a pretty good deal!
And no, I didn't actually risk staining my beautiful quilt....I switched it with another green tablecloth for the actual feast!

A strand of pink beads, from a broken necklace, came in handy to re-purpose into chic napkin rings.
1890's, Perkinhammer, Rosedale Porcelain was found at a tag sale...seven dinner plates, two bread plates and four cup and saucers...for a mere $10!
Grandma's beautiful flatware.... a set of several I just love to display.
Her cut crystal glasses, almost always, make their way onto our formal affairs...love, love, love them!
Pastel, foil covered eggs on a bed of shredded paper sit in vintage, etched crystal, cordial glasses with notes of love and memories tucked inside. They were meant to have names for each place setting...just not enough time to squeeze it in this time!
Sweet, foil wrapped, eggs and bunnies surrounded the ironstone "vase" with a vintage flair...the artificial, blue, "forget me nots" worked well in a pinch and accented the colors in the dinnerware quite well!
A tiny, vintage, ironstone tureen holds my special, "Easter Mouse" perched upon a bed of cabbage....a very, sentimental treasure from my long lost friend!
Another piece of "Grandma's" silver plate...just one of her many, petite, sauce server's that I am proud to own.
My little, corn husk, bunny joined another centerpiece vignette.
This is my precious family that I was so happy to have celebrate this very special day!
My girls, Tanya & Shaine
My girls Kristi and Kaycie with Vienna, Christian and Kendra
My granddaughter Tia
Shaine's twins, sadly, were not there!
We missed you Rocco & Gianna xoxoxo

That china was certainly a "find". It is stunning! Also, what beautiful crystal and flatware that you inherited from your grandmother. Family pieces are so special to all of us. Your certainly did a gorgeous holiday table, as a last one in your home. Good luck in your next adventure.
