Our Fall Pumpkin Family

Blue skies and the perfect day for making our "pumpkin family."
Thankfully, I had my honey to help me!
Old, orange, faded pumpkins were given a "facelift" with some white, spray paint and an assortment of posts, for their frames, await them.

My "helper" drilled holes into wood blocks (to insert the main post into, to hold their frames) then screwed them inside their "hollow" heads.
We used black electrical tape to secure the "arms" to their bodies, just about where their shoulders should be. Duct tape or rope would been a better option but, what we chose was just handy!
A, shorter, cut of wood was used on the "pumpkin daddy" for his "hips."  He needed something to hold his pants up!
Waiting to "get dressed!"
Here they are at our driveway entrance all decked out and enjoying the sun!

Can you spot the difference between these two pics?
The second pic was taken today, almost 3 weeks later!
Since the opening in the kids heads was smaller than the others my honey decided to go the easy route and mount their blocks on the outside.
They still look cute!
Oh, and don't make my mistake and use thin dowels for arms....I broke hers while getting her dressed!
Now, thank you for stopping by to check out my post and especially to my party hosts and new, friends for following!

Love, Hugs & Kisses
to my family and friends,
JP

Love the job you did on the face lift!I host a weekly link party called Seasonal Sundays. It would be great to have you join.

Thanks for your visit. I love my camera and I know I don't use it to anywhere near it's potential - It's a Canon EOS 50D. Good luck shopping.
